Short answer: Jobber Receptionist is a $29/mo add on to select Jobber plans, and each conversation past your allowance costs $0.79. The catch is the allowance itself: Jobber's Receptionist article says 30 conversations, and its add ons article says 100. It's included with unlimited use on Jobber Plus. If you only get a few calls a month, the add on is the easy pick. On the 30 count, a third party tool that books into Jobber, like ConvoForms at $49/mo for 600 minutes, gets cheaper past about 56 calls a month. On the 100 count, it's past about 126.

Data note: Jobber contradicts itself on the allowance. The Receptionist article says the $29 add on includes 30 conversations, and its sample invoice line reads "Receptionist 30 Conversations / Month". The add ons article, updated August 13, 2026, says it includes 100 conversations per month. We show both below. Two more things from Jobber's own article. A conversation is not the same as a call. A call counts when Receptionist actually talks with the caller, while spam and calls with no real interaction don't count. A text thread counts as one conversation for up to 24 hours, so a customer who texts and then calls back is two. You also need a dedicated phone number in Jobber, which Jobber offers in the US, Canada and the UK, though you can keep your existing number.

When does Plus pay for itself? Grow with 5 users is $199 plus 4 extra users at $29, so $315 a month. Plus is $499 with 5 users, which is $184 more. On the 30 count, the add on alone passes $184 at about 227 conversations a month. On the 100 count, it's about 297. Below that, the add on is cheaper unless you want the rest of what Plus includes.

Which one I'd pick
- Under about 30 calls a month: Jobber Receptionist. It lives inside Jobber and the math barely moves.
- Already on Plus: use the Receptionist you already pay for. Unlimited use is included.
- 60 to 200 calls and you want the lowest bill: ConvoForms. Its 600 minutes cover about 200 three minute calls for $49.
- You'd rather pay only when a call gets handled: Open, at $0.75 to $0.90 per resolved call.
- Bigger shop that wants outbound and coaching too: Avoca or Sameday. Get a written quote before you compare.
