How TradePhone picks and checks tools
Every tool on TradePhone has to serve home service businesses. Prices come from each vendor's own pricing page and carry the date we checked them. Featured is paid and labeled, and it never changes the facts on a page.
How tools get in
- The tool has to sell to home service businesses or small businesses that include them: AI receptionists, answering services, field service software with built in AI, review and texting tools, call tracking and voice AI platforms.
- We confirm the company and product exist on the vendor's own site, and every listing links to that site and to the public source we used.
- Vendors can submit a free listing. We review it before it goes live, and we turn down tools that don't serve the trades.
How prices are checked
- We read the price on the vendor's own pricing page or help center. We don't copy prices from roundups or competitor blogs.
- Every price shows the date we checked it and links to where we read it.
- If a vendor doesn't publish a price, the listing says custom quote. If we couldn't load or confirm the vendor's page, it says see vendor. We never estimate a price.
- When a vendor's own pages disagree, we show both and add a data note.
- Right now 75 listings have a published price, 26 are custom quote and 17 are still waiting on a check.
How the guides rank tools
- Each guide opens with quick picks by setup: what to use if you're already on ServiceTitan, Jobber or Housecall Pro, the lowest published price, a human backup and a flat rate option. Every reason given is a fact from the vendor's own page.
- The full comparison is sorted by fit: a match for the trade, native booking into ServiceTitan, Jobber or Housecall Pro, and a published price.
- Alternatives on a tool page are ranked by how similar the tools are: shared trades, booking integrations, billing model and starting price.
How Featured works
- Featured costs $47 one time. It moves a tool to the front of its category, into first place among alternatives and to the top of the guides it already appears in, with a Featured label every time.
- Featured changes order, never the facts on the page. A Featured tool can't buy a quick pick or a better price line.
- Listings stay free whether a vendor pays or not.
How to report an error
Send the page address and the fix through the listing form. Vendors can send a link to their current pricing page and we'll recheck it and update the date.
What we don't do
- No star ratings or reviews unless they come from real, sourced reviews. We don't have those yet, so there are none.
- No made up prices, and no guessed bundles.
- Category pages with fewer than 5 tools are kept out of search until they grow, so thin pages don't crowd the useful ones.
